When should I start preparing for medicine or dentistry?

The earlier you understand the process, the better. In Years 7–11, the focus should be on building strong academics, confidence and early awareness of medicine or dentistry. In Year 12, students should begin work experience, volunteering, wider reading, UCAT preparation and personal statement planning. By Year 13, the focus shifts towards strategic applications and interview preparation.

Do you support both medicine and dentistry applicants?

Yes. Medentors supports both medicine and dentistry applicants. While the application journeys are similar, there are important differences in personal statements, work experience, interviews and university expectations — so our support is tailored to each pathway.

What if I cannot afford paid support?

We believe high-quality admissions guidance should not only be available to students who can afford a full course. That is why we offer free guides, webinars and community support to help students understand the process and take the right next steps.

What is the best first resource to start with?

If you are unsure where you are in the journey, joining a free webinar is usually the best first step.

Is Medentors only for UK applicants?

Our support is primarily designed around UK medicine and dentistry applications, including UCAS, UCAT, personal statements and interviews. However, some of our guidance may still be useful for international applicants applying to UK universities or students wanting to understand the UK process.
